This year the PAC was excited to prepare our students for the first Matariki public holiday. We shared some wishes for the coming year, we remembered with fondness those who had passed away and we shared some kai.
The PAC staff and students learned the Matariki star song with the actions.
Thursday morning we prepared and shared kai to celebrate Matariki. We enjoyed Hot chocolate with animal shaped marshmallows and star cookies.
The staff and students made pinecone bird feeders and they took them to the park early Wednesday morning. They hung the feeders and used the awesome native bird puppets that were gifted to sing Manu of Tane Mahuta.
