Tyler Roche places 4th at NZ Secondary Schools Wrestling Champs

The NZ Secondary Schools Wrestling tournament comprises of entrants from novice to experienced level wrestlers from around the country. The 2023 event saw over 150 matches, with many athletes competing in 3 or more competitive matches during the day.

Tyler competed in the Under 15 years Juniors, 52kg category. This was a tough division, and he did extremely well to earn a 4th place standing. Great achievement!

The Hamilton Hawks Wrestling Club are extremely proud of Tyler’s achievement and his

superb representation of himself, his whānau, Hillcrest High School, and the Hamilton Hawks Wrestling Club at the tournament. We wish Tyler all the very best in his continued journey in

the sport and for his preparation for the New Zealand National Championships that will be held in Tauranga in October.
