Year 13 student Leo Reid’s short story A Borrowed Interest has been chosen for publication in Re-Draft 23, The Report.

Re-Draft is an annual creative writing competition for teenagers throughout Aotearoa, with the winning stories published in the Re-Draft series. The judges said that Leo’s story was “a definite winner – weird and wonderful!” Look out for a copy of The Report, coming to our library soon.

In 2023 Leo also placed second in the Secondary School Division for the Sargeson Prize.
