NCEA Common Assessment Activities

Hillcrest High School is starting NZQA’s NCEA Common Assessment Activities (CAAs) for Literacy and Numeracy.

They will happen in two rounds, one in May and one in October. The May round will be on May 20, May 27, and May 30, causing some class disruptions for certain students.

Most Year 10 students, some Year 9 students, and Year 11, 12, and 13 students without NCEA Literacy and/or Numeracy will participate. Math and English teachers have been preparing these students.

Students who are not successful in May will have another chance in October. Completing CAAs successfully once fulfills the NCEA Literacy and Numeracy requirement.
