Our Year 9 JEEP students enjoyed a fabulous sunny day of discovery and creativity in Auckland.

The day began at MOTAT, where they took part in an exciting design thinking workshop, using prototyping and testing to create intricate Rube Goldberg machines featuring pulleys, trapdoors, and levers.

Students also explored MOTAT’s inspiring exhibitions, including the model railway, Innovation Station, and an incredible virtual reality flight over Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. A ride on the historic tram added to the day’s sense of adventure and fun.

In the afternoon, we took our thinking to new heights at the Stardome Observatory, where students planned their own space missions and watched a captivating planetarium show about a futuristic manned journey to Mars.

The day finished on a joyful note with a lively bus sing-along; a fitting end to a day filled with innovation, teamwork, and laughter!
