On Wednesday 29 October, our Year 13 students gathered with staff at Vilagrad Winery to celebrate the end of their Hillcrest journey. The evening was filled with laughter, memories, and heartfelt moments as students reminisced about their time at school and looked ahead to the next chapter in their lives.
The Leavers’ Dinner provided a special opportunity for students to come together one last time, to share stories, thank their teachers, and celebrate the friendships and experiences that have shaped their years at Hillcrest. It was a night full of warmth, emotion, and pride, as staff and students reflected on how far they’ve come and the bright futures that await.
There were plenty of smiles, a few tears, and a wonderful sense of whanaungatanga as our school community farewelled this remarkable group of young people.
We wish all our 2025 leavers every success as they take their next steps beyond Hillcrest. Kia kaha, kia māia, kia manawanui — be strong, be brave, be steadfast.
