Exploring a world of wonder in our own backyard!

In Week 5, 80 of our Level 1 Visual Arts Students boarded two buses to the Hamilton Gardens. Each class was given a guided tour of the gardens, explaining the history, symbolism and cultural relevance of the Chinese Scholar, Renaissance and Te Parapara gardens. Students then spent time creating observational drawings and participating in a photographic scavenger hunt. All of our students were engaged with the learning and returned to school buzzing with ideas for their Level 1 Visual Art assessments for the year. Thanks to all students and staff for making this trip a success.
