This term, the Whaanau Leadership Camp took place at Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp. There were a total of 40 tauira from Year 9 to Year 13 and four teachers (Aroha Crombie, Niki Crombie, Caseymia Hawkins and Matt Naden) who attended the camp. This was a two day camp focused on the development of whakawhanaungatanga and leadership amongst their peers. The kaiako and tauira took part in a range of activities with some of the favourites being the waterslide and the whaanau campfire. A big mihi to the teachers that attended the camp and also to all of the staff members that were involved in making this camp happen. Overall it was a massive success with new friendships formed, multiple leaders emerging and positive memories made.
