Wendy Pretswell who attended Hillcrest High School between 2001-2005 is now a very successful podiatrist who owns her own business FEET FORWARD in Rototuna Hamilton.

While at high school Wendy was actively involved in many sports including Netball and was in fact part of the squad who won the National Netball Championships.

Laura Langman captained the team at that time which was coached by the very famous Keren Prescott who engendered her passion for the sport which she continues to play to this day. She also gives credit to Hans Uivel (Volleyball), Ben Kennedy (Advanced PE), Stan Austen (her ever patient form teacher) and Dan Franicevic who taught her that learning Stats didn’t have to be hard.

She also says the school gave her a range of sporting opportunities. Coming from a family of 4 girls it was crucial that she attended  a co-ed school. Also being in an environment with students from a wide demographics also shaped her development as a teenager and gave her the skill to interact and engage naturally with clients in her practice.

As with many Alumni Wendy still maintains a strong connection with her fellow students and year group.
