Congratulations to our students who represented Hillcrest High School at the Waikato Maths Competition, held last night at Hamilton Boys’ High School.
After several years without bringing home a shield, we are thrilled to celebrate an outstanding achievement from our Year 10 team. Nigel Ng, Ever Tang, and Hannah Duong claimed 1st place, earning the Waikato Maths Competition shield and each receiving a graphics calculator for their impressive performance.
This is a fantastic result against a field of exceptionally strong teams from across the Waikato and is a testament to the students’ mathematical ability, teamwork, and dedication.
There were also strong performances from our other teams, with our Year 9 team finishing 5th and our second Year 10 team placing 6th overall.
Congratulations to all of our competitors on representing Hillcrest High School with pride. We are incredibly proud of your achievements.
