Over the holidays our Beach Volleyballers battled unseasonal weather to prepare, train and learn new skills with our amazing Coach Shaunna Polley. The hard work and dedication definitely paid off! In January the club Nationals were held at Mount Maunganui. Jaxon Stone and Liam Smith beat a tough Christchurch twin pairing to become U17 National Champions! Well done boys!!
Then early February saw the NZ Secondary School champs again held at Mount Maunganui. Our Senior Pairing of Jaxon Stone & Nathan Smith came a creditable 5th after striking Rangitoto College in the ¼ final, the eventual winners.
In the year 11 grade Liam Smith & Eui In Shin had a fantastic two days and were crowned National Champions – Congratulations to all our Beach Teams.
