Valentine’s Day at Hillcrest

Valentine’s Day at Hillcrest

Valentine’s Day at Hillcrest was a wonderful celebration of kindness, connection, and community spirit.

Throughout the day, there was a real sense of excitement as roses were delivered across classrooms, chocolates were shared among friends, and singing telegrams brought plenty of smiles (and a few surprised faces!).

The delivery of roses and treats created special moments of appreciation, while the singing telegrams added energy and laughter to the day. It was fantastic to see students embracing the opportunity to celebrate friendship and acknowledge one another in positive ways.

Beyond the fun and festivities, the day was a reminder of the importance of belonging and looking out for each other. Small gestures, whether a rose, a chocolate, a song, or a kind word can have a powerful impact. They help create an environment where students feel valued, included, and connected.

As the quote reminds us, “Kind words cost nothing, but mean everything.”

Thank you to our student leaders and all those involved in organising such a joyful occasion. Events like these continue to strengthen the positive culture that makes our school such a special place to be.
