We have an exciting opportunity for the current Year 10 cohort. The Coromandel Experience is a brand new 2 week camp that is on offer for 2025. This camp is a renewal of the Tongariro Experience in a brand new location that has only recently opened to the public. We are ecstatic to be able to offer another opportunity for our students to get into the outdoors.
We are planning to take two groups of 30 students,1 group of boys and 1 group of girls. The trips will take place between Sunday 13th July – Friday 25th July and Sunday 3rd August – Friday 15th August.
While at camp, students will be immersed in the outdoors while completing a wide range of activities including rock climbing, abseiling, sea kayaking, and coasteering. The main goal for our trips is not only to get the students into the outdoors but to challenge them to try new things and push themselves into leadership and group work with students they may not otherwise work with.
The camp will cost $2922.35 provided we fill the two trips with 30 students. A 15% deposit is due on the 2/5/25 which is the first Friday of Term 2, with the remaining balance due on the 14th of May.
If this sounds like a camp that your student would like to be a part of you can pay the deposit to student accounts and fill in a permission slip which the students can get from Mr McNabb in the Junior Dean’s office. Attached is the current programme with details of where the camp is, activities that the students will be doing and other required information.
