After many hours toiling away cutting, pasting, drawing and writing the Library Zineclub had an extremely successful day at the annual Kirikirirao Zinefest.
Held in the Central Hamilton Library but once a year our group of zinesters spent the day selling, trading, giving away and, well, yapping with other zine loving folk.
Not only was it a successful day with very little left on the table at the end of the festival but we also gained Best Rangitahi Zine and Runner Up Rangitahi Zine! Our winner was Katrina Lillas, who hand painted a beautiful little zine about different butterflies and runner up was Mila Bremner with a quirky zine called “Round Things You Can draw Quickly”, which included little foldout recipes and bits of info!
All round a great day and something the club can be really proud of.
