Congratulations to Yr 9 Student Matthew Parkinson (Rutherford) and Yr 12 Student Leah Parkinson (Hillary) who are the Student of the Week for Term 2 Weeks 6 & 7.
This week we’re proud to celebrate two incredibly talented siblings, Leah and Matthew Parkinson, who have been the driving force behind the launch of Hillcrest High School’s brand-new podcast, Beyond the Bell.
As our student producers, Leah and Matthew have been responsible for everything from recording and editing to sound design and structure. Their behind-the-scenes mahi has brought the podcast to life and ensured that the voices, stories, and spirit of Hillcrest are captured and shared with our wider community.
They have led the creative direction with confidence and professionalism, guiding the tone and pacing of each episode. Their calm leadership and commitment to quality have set a high standard for the project. They have also taken on the technical side with enthusiasm and precision, mastering audio equipment and editing software well beyond their years.
Their teamwork, passion for storytelling, and dedication to this project have been nothing short of outstanding. Beyond the Bell simply would not exist without them.
