Congratulations to Leah Parkinson and Matthew Parkinson, our Students of the Week, recognised for their outstanding commitment and leadership in our recent school production of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
Leah and Matthew have both taken on major responsibilities in the production, with Leah serving as Stage Manager and Matthew as Head of Sound and Lighting. These roles require organisation, focus, and the ability to manage many moving parts, and both students have carried out their responsibilities with maturity and professionalism.
Throughout rehearsals and performance day, Leah and Matthew remained calm under pressure, worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and treated staff and fellow students with kindness and respect. Their exceptional attention to detail helped ensure the production ran smoothly, and their willingness to give up countless hours of their own time made a significant difference to the success of the show.
Productions rely on dedicated students working behind the scenes, and we are very fortunate to have students like Leah and Matthew who are willing to go the extra mile for the benefit of the whole team.
Leah and Matthew’s commitment, leadership, and work ethic make them very deserving recipients of this week’s award.
