Congratulations to Yr 9 Student Brayden Powrie-Daysh (Te Puea) who is the Student of the Week for Week 6.
Brayden was nominated by a number of teachers for his positive start at Hillcrest High School.
On day 1 of school Brayden came into the Library and introduced himself and asked if he could help with any jobs around the library. He has since become a student librarian and even when he is not rostered on, he comes in and shelves books and asks if there is anything he can do. He helps at the main desk and also with the processing of books for the library and other departments. He also often pops in before school to help issue and return books.

This year the Student of the Week is sponsored by Parry Group of McDonald’s Restaurants Hamilton, covering their Five Cross Roads, Hamilton East, and Chartwell locations. Each recipient will receive a voucher to spend at one of the Parry Group’s Restaurants.
