At the end of Term 1, the Spanish Department hosted Ian Harris, a professional flamenco guitarist from Auckland.
It was a fantastic opportunity for all Year 10–13 Spanish students to experience this amazing music firsthand and learn about its origins, styles, rhythms, and world-famous players. Our students actively participated in the interactive workshop, clapping and stomping their feet to the rhythm alongside Ian. To wrap up a wonderful term, Ian also performed for the staff during morning tea.
