During the Term Two break, Ms. Campbell and Mr. Ashby took ten Year 12 and 13 students on an unforgettable seven-day Social Sciences trip to the Gold Coast.

Departing from Hamilton Airport excitingly, in just the second week of its international flights resuming, the group flew to Australia for a packed week of exploration and fun. The itinerary was full of incredible experiences, including visits to Australia Zoo, Movie World, Sea World, Wet ‘n’ Wild, and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. A clear highlight was O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, where students saw a Birds of Prey show and had the chance to hand-feed wild lorikeets. The trip offered a balance of education and fun, with students gaining new insights into environmental conservation, tourism, and culture—all while having an amazing time.
