On Wednesday 31st March Hillcrest High School participated in the Sheilah Winn Regional Shakespeare Competition at Cambridge Town Hall.
We had three scenes entered into the competition. Mrs Ganley directed a 15 minute scene from The Merry Wives of Windsor. Katrina Lillas (Year 13) directed a 15 minute scene from Romeo and Juliet. Nina Brassington (Year 11) directed a 5 minute scene from Macbeth.
We are so proud of all of the students who took part in the competition and represented our school extremely well. A massive thank you also to the parent volunteers who helped transport our students to the venue and who remained to support us. We wouldn’t be able to do it without you!
The competition this year was tough. Hillcrest High School received many compliments about the strength of our actors. Although we didn’t come away with a win this year we look forward to entering the competition again next year.
