As the Waikato Schools Debating season comes to a close, our students celebrate a successful tournament. One of our Senior Premier teams – Chloe Neville, Poppy Doran, Shambhavi Das and Khadija Tayyab – has made it through to the final against Te Awamutu College. They’ve had an excellent run and we wish them well for the last debate. We also congratulate our Senior Open team, better known as the “Chitchats”: Jessica Murphy, Anushree Sharma, Aujaswi Adhikari and Izzie Molloy. They were the only team not from St Peter’s College competing in the semis. Unfortunately they lost by half a point, but made us proud with their effort and talent. All credit goes to these committed and quick-thinking students who basically learn and improve “on the job” under pressure. A big thank you to all our teams participating in the tournament for 2026. To parents and caregivers, we have really appreciated your support!
