Last Saturday March 29th, was the Hamilton Relay for Life event an amazing community event featuring many schools across Hamilton.
It was full of energy, performances, activities and most importantly the busy relay track. This year we were excited to bring the event back at Hillcrest High School by creating our very own team giving our student, teachers, and parents the opportunity to partake on the day as well as fundraise and donate where all funds went towards cancer society.
Relay for Life is all about getting active and standing in support with those who are battling or survived cancer and remembering those we’ve lost. It was inspiring to see the wider community come together all united against the battle of cancer.
We also want to say a big thank you to everyone who fundraised, donated or bought baking from the service council run bake sale. Thanks to the support of our school community, we raised over $3,000 for Cancer Society!
We look forward to organizing and creating even more exciting service events throughout the year!
Your Service Captains,
Annie & Antonia
