PPTA continued strike action

PPTA have announced today that industrial action will continue.

Dear parents and caregivers,

Unfortunately a settlement between the PPTA and the Government has still not been reached. This means rostering home will continue for the rest of the term..

The continued action of rostering home of year levels will be:

Week 8

Monday 12 June – Year 11 and 12;

Tuesday 13 June – Year 9 and 13;

Wednesday 14 June – Year 10 and 11

Thursday 15 June – Year 12 and 13

Week 9

Monday 19 June – Year 9 and 10

Tuesday 20 June – Year 11 and 12

Wednesday 21 June – Year 9 and 13

Thursday 22 June – Year 10 and 11

Friday 23 June – No rostering home

Week 10

Monday 26 June – Year 12 and 13

Tuesday 27 June Year 9 and 10

Wednesday 28 June – Year 11 and 12

Thursday 29 June – Year 9 and 13

Friday 30 June – No rostering home

Please note Trades and WINTEC will continue as normal.

Students should use this time wisely at home working on assignments and on their programmes of learning through Schoology.

This is also a reminder that a Teacher Only Day will be held on Friday 16th June. This a Hillcrest Kaahui Ako day involving all the schools in the immediate region who belong to the Hillcrest Kaahui Ako Community of Learning. Staff from these schools will be meeting at Hillcrest High School for a day of professional learning.

On another note an outside group InsideOUT will be coming to speak to Year 9 students on the 22nd June during Period 2. This organization works with youth in schools to help ensure communities are inclusive of all students. If you wish to check out more information on what they do please click here.
