PAC Teacher Aide
Our Physical Assistance Centre (PAC) is looking for a Teacher Aide who is positive, patient, flexible and passionate about working with ORS funded students. An understanding of the complexities of behaviour and the needs of physically disabled akonga would be an advantage. You must have a desire to support students to achieve their potential in a variety of environments and be able to work as part of a team.
We have a permanent position available working with students and teachers across Years 9-13. The person would need to be comfortable with attending to the personal cares of students and also be willing to learn and perform manual handling techniques safely.
The position is term time only, 30 hours per week (including breaks). Start date will be dependent on completion of a satisfactory police vet check. Applicants are to advise what skills and experience they have in working with children who have high and complex needs and abilities. Remuneration to be discussed with the right candidate.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and will be required to be Police Vetted.

Receptionist
We are seeking a receptionist for our busy front office.
Hours are 8am to 4pm, term time only (40 weeks per year)

About the role
• You will be our first point of contact for parents, visitors and students.
• Answering the phone and emails and visitor queries in a timely manner
• Provide general information and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member
• Processing parent payments
• Maintaining our electronic notice board
• Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
• Assist with the creation of promotional materials via CANVA
• Be in charge of our blazer stock, including distributing and collecting back
• Being part of the administration team and supporting the school with various office duties as required
Skills and Experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people of all ages
• Confident dealing with a varied day, without becoming flustered
• Previous experience with KAMAR, Google docs is preferred, but training will be provided
• Previous experience in a similar role in a school or as a receptionist in a busy organisation
• The ability to work independently as needed but remain part of the team
Hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm term time only.
