North Island Kendo Championships

Last weekend, Yr 11 Soichiro Yamaguchi and Wilkie Larke from Yr 12 participated in the North Island Kendo (Japanese fencing) Championships in the mix-gender team event.

With only two years training, they fought very well against many seniors and higher grade opponents without showing any fear. Additionally, they won 3rd place as a team with their extraordinary team bond and strategy.

We are feeling very proud of their achievements and the courage and confidence shown over the weekend.
