Congratulations to Year 12 student Tai Eglinton, who drove to an impressive 10th place finish at the recent New Zealand Karting Championships!
Representing Hillcrest High with skill and determination, Tai held his own against the country’s top young racers, demonstrating focus, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the weekend.
This outstanding achievement is the result of countless hours of practice on the track, careful preparation off it, and the unwavering support of Tai’s family, coaches and fellow drivers. Finishing in the top ten at a national-level event is no small feat – it speaks to Tai’s commitment to excellence and his ability to perform under pressure.
We couldn’t be prouder to have Tai as part of our Hillcrest whānau. He’s already shown what’s possible with passion and hard work, and we can’t wait to see where his racing career takes him next. Well done, Tai – the future is wide open! 💙💛
