Netball Combined Points Tournament

On Wednesday, 7th August, the Auckland Netball Centre buzzed with energy as teams from across the upper North Island gathered for the Netball Combined Points Tournament.

The event featured a range of grades including Girls Year 9, Year 10, Premier, and Boys Premier grades. Representing Hillcrest High School, our Year 9A netball team brought their A-game to the courts.

Throughout the day, the Year 9A team demonstrated determination and skill, finishing the tournament with two wins, two losses, and one draw. This was a commendable effort given the amount of talent at this tournament. The players’ teamwork and sportsmanship were on full display, making their school proud.

Special thanks to coach Sarah Peterson and manager Sonay Sharp for their hard work on the day. Sonay also surprised Khloe Raru with a beautifully crafted netball cake for her birthday. We also appreciate all the parents who traveled to support us.  

Overall, the Netball Combined Points Tournament was a fantastic experience for everyone involved. Congratulations to the team, and a big thank you to everyone who supported them!
