Year 13 student Haylee Halford represented our school in the Lions speechmaker contest. She gave a 6 minute pre-prepared speech on Fast Fashion, followed by an impromptu speech.
With one minute to plan the surprise topic, Haylee clearly asserted why she believed lowering the voting age to 16 would be most unwise. She nailed it, then graced the stage in First Place.
She’s off to Palmerston North for the Nationals.
