In Term 3, the Leadership Academy has been focused on supporting our Year 12 students as they prepare for the application process for 2026 leadership positions.
We began the term with an engaging workshop from Niall, “The Speaking Coach,” who worked with students to perfect their elevator pitch; a skill that helps them introduce themselves with confidence and clarity. Rebecca Early then joined us to share valuable insights into what schools look for in Senior Student Leaders, and how challenging decisions are made to create balanced and effective leadership teams.
Alongside these guest sessions, students have also explored some of the fundamentals of leadership, including how to run an effective meeting, strategies for dealing with conflict, and how to respond positively to disappointment.
Congratulations to all our Year 12 aspiring leaders who have stepped into the process so far this term. Putting yourself forward is the first step towards successful leadership, and we are proud of the courage and commitment you have shown.
