Koroneihana 2024

On Friday 16th August our Kapa Haka students along with akōnga from Sacred Heart, Peachgrove Intermediate and St John’s, performed at Koroneihana as Te Kotahitanga o Ngaa Kura o Kirikiriroa.

This group of akōnga were tutored by Taamia Rapana, Maapihi Rapana, Te Ohomauri Rapana & Te Taonga Muru.

The Koroneihana is the annual week-long celebration of the coronation of the Māori King Tūheitia, at Tūrangawaewae Marae in Ngāruawāhia.

A massive thank you to Whaea Caseymia who has put a lot of mahi in to preparing our students and supporting them on this journey. A huge thanks to Whaea Aroha and Niki who provided support and kai on the day. A massive thank you to our Principal Mrs Williams, and Assistant Deans Ms Stowers and Miss Telfer for coming along to show their support.
