Our Junior debating team won the Waikato Schools Finals this term. Having beaten Boys High at the semis, they have now had the pleasure of putting Girls High in second place.
Our winning team is called “The Red Hot Hilly Peppers”. They consist of the following Year 10 students: Annika Fang, Avee Belhamine, and Yusuf Van Werring.
The senior coaches, Jess and Janet, have given their time and expertise which has given this team a sharp edge but all praise goes to the amazing juniors, who put in the mahi, applied all the advice they got, and spoke with flair on the night!
