Junior Concert a Huge Success

Last Friday afternoon (6th December), our talented junior students delivered an incredible showcase of musical performances at the Junior Concert. From first-time performers to professional-level acts like the Year 9 band’s stunning rendition of Hysteria by Muse, the variety and quality of performances were truly impressive.

A special highlight was Mrs. Williams’ surprise performance of Avril Lavigne’s When You’re Gone. Her energy and willingness to lead from the front inspired everyone.

The concert was a true team effort, with immense support from staff, students, and whanau. 

Special thanks to our ITM teachers—Mike, Marty, Corillin, Bev, and Jayne—who expertly guided students backstage and ensured the smooth flow of the event. 

The property team also deserves applause for their tireless work during setup and pack-down. And Hayley’s our Arts coordinator for her behind-the-scenes work, from run sheets to last-minute problem-solving, kept the event running like clockwork.

Finally, a huge thanks to Noah, our student lighting and sound technician, who managed the stage with exceptional skill and professionalism.

From handling last-minute requests to creating the perfect atmosphere, Noah’s contributions were invaluable.

This concert showcased the incredible musical talent and community spirit in our school, and we are so proud of everyone who took part. 

Finally, a special thanks to “Hoon” one of our senior bands, who made a guest appearance to close the concert. Their performance was energetic and inspirational.
