We’re excited to invite you to support the 2026 Hillcrest High School Jon Leitch Legacy Golf Classic. This is our flagship community fundraising event, proudly run by the Hillcrest High School Sports Development Programme. This tournament plays a vital role in creating equitable opportunities for our students, helping them access coaching, leadership development, and life-changing sporting experiences regardless of their financial background.
This exciting tournament will be held on Friday, 4th of December, 2026, at the stunning Cambridge Golf Club. It’s a fantastic way to wrap up the year – Perfect for a staff Christmas function, a client event, or a fun day out with your mates, colleagues, or anyone keen for a bit of friendly banter on the course. With competitions, prizes, raffles, and a few surprises, it promises to be an epic day on the fairways.
How You Can Get Involved
There are three main ways your business can support the Hillcrest High School Jon Leitch Legacy Golf Classic. You’re welcome to choose one, two or all three:
Enter a Team - $300 per team of 4
Includes green fees, on-course BBQ, post-round grazing platters & mini competitions throughout the event. Perfect for staff, clients, or a fun day out with mates. Carts will be available to hire on the day for $40.00 per team.
Sponsor a Hole - $300 per hole
Your business signage will be featured at one of the 18 holes, and you’ll be acknowledged in tournament materials and during the prizegiving. You will need to provide the signage, and we will put it up for you.
Donate a Prize - (any value appreciated)

Why We’re Fundraising
Proceeds from the Hillcrest High School Jon Leitch Legacy Golf Classic will support the Hillcrest High School Jon Leitch Award and Sports Development Programme.
The Jon Leitch Award helps high-achieving students, whether in academics, sport, or culture, who may face financial barriers to attending important competitions. Your sponsorship ensures these talented young people aren’t held back by cost, allowing them to pursue their goals on a level playing field.
In addition, the Hillcrest High School Sports Development Programme empowers young people to become leaders, individuals who take action and make things happen. It’s about more than just sport, it’s about building confidence, resilience, and discipline that prepares students to thrive in all areas of life. Through your support, students gain the tools they need to succeed, not just on the field, but in school, work, and beyond.
By supporting this event, you’re making a lasting impact on the lives of local youth and helping shape a future generation of capable, well-rounded individuals. Together, we can open doors to opportunity and success.
Student Involvement
Our 51 Year 10 Sports Development students are at the heart of this kaupapa. As part of their learning, they’re actively supporting the tournament by seeking sponsorships and prize donations, helping market the event, managing registrations, and supporting mini competitions like longest drive & closest to the pin, operating the BBQ, and providing general support throughout the day.
This gives them valuable experience in leadership, communication and event delivery – all while giving back to a programme that supports them.
Register
To register your involvement, simply complete our Google Form.
The form will allow you to select one, two or all three options (team entry, hole sponsorship, prize donation) depending on how you’d like to show your support. It’s quick and easy to fill out.

Photography & Media Use
Please note that photos and videos may be taken throughout the day for promotional and school use (e.g. school social media, website, and future event marketing). By registering a team, you acknowledge and accept this. I will aim to share a folder of photos with all teams post-event for your own use.
If any team member does not want to appear in photos, please let us know prior to the event via email. Photos can be removed post event upon request.

Acknowledgement
All sponsors and donors will be publicly acknowledged
All sponsors and donors will be publicly acknowledged throughout the day of the tournament and thanked via Hillcrest High School’s social media channels leading up to the event. This is a fantastic way to showcase your support for the community and gain exposure for your business.
Additionally, sponsors and donors will be featured on a prize giving display with logos prominently displayed, ensuring visibility during the event. We will also acknowledge your contribution during the prize giving ceremony.
Prizegiving & Networking Function
We’d love to have all sponsors, prize donors, and teams join us for the Prizegiving & Networking Function following the tournament. This is a fantastic opportunity to relax, enjoy some platters, nibbles, and drinks, and connect with fellow participants, sponsors, and members of the wider Hillcrest High School community. It’s a great way to celebrate the day’s achievements and show our gratitude for your generous support.
