In the lead up to our 50th Reunion we are taking some walks down memory lane … this time we are in the 90s.

It was the year 1995 and the population of New Zealand is 3.7 million, on the 28th April the Cave Creek tragedy took place, Jim Bolger was New Zealand Prime Minister, Free to Air TV goes 24/7, Windows 95 is released, The New Zealand Warriors became the first New Zealand-based team to compete in the Australian Rugby League‘s premiership, and at the New Zealand Music Awards the Album of the Year was Supergrooves – Traction.

At Hillcrest High School Kevin Hessell was Principal, the mustard yellow and brown had thankfully disappeared and the school uniform was navy and white. Don’t forget to keep up with all the events planned for our 50th reunion on our reunion website.
