The ILC and PAC students  were proud to present their Magical Mystery Tour to a raptured audience. Indeed, they were all enchanted by the creativity and talent displayed by our students, as in the colourful presentation of “We don’t talk about Bruno” from the movie Encanto. Another, incredible, moment that totally captivated the attention was the number presented by the Tauiliili sisters, Melite at the violin accompanied by Fivarikah at the piano.

This astounding show was the result of a year of long hard work, navigating the difficulty of these Covid times. This was the first year so many understudies were needed. Fortunately, there was no lack of talent to keep the show going.

To reflect the optimism our students often infuse in their lives, and also in the hope of things getting better, the show started with horror themed songs, but soon moved to lighter tones. Beginning with a cemetery filled with ghouls and dancing skeletons and moving to a colourful technicolor coat made of dreams, the concert then ended with the positive, joyful cacophony of Stevie Wonder’s “Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing”.

This was the first time the ILC concert was scheduled for the end of term four, and what a great send off it was for our students. They started their summer break knowing that they showed off what their dedication and discipline has helped them accomplish. Talking about dedication and discipline, we cannot omit to mention Mrs Radford, whose focus and energy kept us going through thick and thin. She is much appreciated by both students and staff.

Thank you to all who helped and supported us in this endeavour, and see you at next year’s ILC concert!
