It’s been a big few weeks in the House competition, with students showing their generosity, community spirit, and determination across a range of events!
A huge highlight was our School-Wide Can Drive, where students collected non-perishable food items for the Hamilton Foodbank. A massive congratulations to Hillary House, who took out the top spot with 120 items donated – nearly double that of second-place Sheppard. Ka mau te wehi!
Students also got behind the World Vision 40-Hour Challenge, raising an incredible $2,000+ as a school. It was great to see so many students involved in this kaupapa. Sheppard House led the way in fundraising, closely followed by Rutherford.
With these events added into the mix, the overall House Leaderboard at the end of Term 2 stands as follows:
With only 6 points separating the top four houses, it’s still anyone’s race for the title of 2025 House Champions. Term 3 promises more chances to shine – so bring the energy, get involved, and support your house!
Let’s go Hillcrest – show us what you’ve got!
