We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of one of our students, who has been selected to represent Girl Guiding New Zealand on an international trip to the United Kingdom from 7 July to 8 August.
As part of a group of just 10 representatives from across New Zealand, she will travel through Scotland before attending the WINGS Jamboree in Windsor. The journey includes visits to significant sites connected to the history of Guiding, including Brownsea Island in Poole — the location of the very first camp held by Lord Baden-Powell in 1907.
Attending the Jamboree as a Leader reflects her commitment to service and leadership within the Guiding movement. Alongside her studies, she volunteers as a Leader with the Brownies unit in Morrinsville, supporting and mentoring younger members of the community.
This opportunity comes after she successfully completed the Queen’s Guide Award last year — the highest award achievable in Guiding — recognising her leadership, service, personal development, and dedication over many years.
We congratulate her on this incredible opportunity and know she will represent both New Zealand and our kura with pride.
