Hillcrest High School ChemQuest Champions 2024

Nikita Slesarenko, Elliot Vickery, and Daisy Evans represented our school at the recent ChemQuest Competition, held at the University of Waikato campus.

They competed against some of the top Year 12 Chemistry students from across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. The team did us proud by winning this year’s competition.

Hillcrest High School has a proud history of competing in this competition: placing fourth in 2022, second in 2016, second in 2014, fifth in 2012, and first in 2008. It was a close competition this year, and the results were as follows.

3rd: St Peter’s School

4th: Mount Maunganui College

5th: Papamoa College
