On Monday, the Head Students went to ‘Headzup’, a leadership event run by the Waikato Institute for Leadership & Sports Studies. This was a mīharo opportunity to whakawhanaungatanga with student leadership teams from different kura across the Waikato. The variety of creative workshops allowed us to fetch a kaha understanding of our own leadership styles and how we can best implement them as a roopuu.
We gained great inspiration through the koorero offered by Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship recipients and previous student leaders. These were eye opening as to our own futures as leaders.
We are very grateful to have these spaces in which to develop ourselves and plant the seeds for future blooming connections.
