Over the past few weeks two former students have experienced huge success on their bikes.

Congratulations to former  student Lewis Smith (class of 2016) who was crowned New Zealand BMX National Champion.

This was the first national championship event for Lewis since 2015 which makes the win even more special. Lewis aims to head to France in July to compete at the World Championships. We look forward to watching his progress.
On the track Liam Cavanagh (class of 2021) had a great weekend at the National Track Cycling Championships. Liam claimed gold in the U19 track sprint as well as a silver medal in the U19 Keirin. He broke the national record in the sprint which was later broken by another competitor in the heats. On top of this Liam also won Gold in the Team Sprint.
To cap off the term Liam also placed 3rd in the Individual Sprint at the Oceania Championships in Brisbane. Well done Liam, we are incredibly proud of your achievements.
