Congratulations to Suhani Gupta and Mayesa Maimuna, who were selected as Hillcrest High School’s recipients at the annual Emerging Ethnic Leaders Breakfast.
Held at The Verandah at Hamilton Lake, this special event celebrates secondary school students from diverse ethnic backgrounds who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service within their schools and wider communities.
The breakfast is organised by the Refugee Orientation Centre Trust in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Hamilton City Council. It brings together students, schools, community leaders and representatives from local government to recognise the valuable contributions of ethnic youth across Kirikiriroa Hamilton.
Those attending enjoyed a buffet breakfast, student leadership addresses and guest speakers, with the young leaders receiving certificates acknowledging their achievements.
Suhani (Cultural Captain) and Mayesa (Executive Cultral Council) are wonderful representatives of Hillcrest High School. Their recognition reflects the positive contribution they make to our kura and community through their leadership, service and commitment to others.
Ka rawe, Suhani and Mayesa. We are incredibly proud of you both!
