Year 13 student Diana Han won direct entry into the National Shakespeare Competition in Wellington!
On the 10th April 2025 six of our talented Year 13 Drama students competed at the Sheilah Winn Regional Shakespeare Competition. Hillcrest High entered a 15 minute scene directed by Mrs Ganley and and Diana Han entered a 5 minute student directed scene. Within both of these scenes Diana showed incredible range in her acting which contributed to her win!
Each year one student per region is selected for direct entry to the National Shakespeare Schools Production. Diana is 1 of 50 students nationwide selected for NSSP. 24 of these students will then be selected to attend workshops and perform at the Globe Theatre in London.
This is another fantastic showcase of the opportunities students have to develop their skills at Hillcrest High School and then take them to the world!
