The cricket season has come to an end with all teams performing well in their respective competitions.
The girls team had several games rained off but still managed to show their abilities with Makayla Reilly leading the way with both bat and ball and other good performances from Teaghin Strwbridge with the bat and Venuri Acharige with the ball. The girls finished a very commendable 3rd in the competition.
The First XI finished 3rd in Division 1 after losing two crucial games. Despite this there were some great individual performances throughout the season with Saber Khawrin ending as the leading wicket taker in the competition and Michael Hamilton 5th. With the bat, Hemanth Akula (3rd), Nico Bhula (6th) and Saber (9th) all finished inside the top ten run scorers for the season.
The Second XI finished 2nd in Division 2B and had some great performances throughout the season. Ethan Collins and Alex Mathieson dominated with the ball, taking wickets regularly, and Yousuf Tayyab led the way with the bat with a top score of 87. Thanks to Trevor Mathieson and Tom Roberts for their work with the boys this season.
The Junior Development finished down the ladder in the Year 9 division but had their first win and there were some good individual performances along the way. Chamodhya Rajapaksa showed the ability to give the ball a good whack and Avjot Gandham consistently took wickets with his legspin bowling. A big thanks to coach Luke Kennedy for guiding the boys this season.
