COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

We are currently at the Orange setting of the Covid Protection Framework.

This means that schools are open with public health precautions in place.

Wearing a mask when indoors or close to others, is highly recommended.

If your child tests positive for Covid-19 please let the school know as soon as possible.

Anyone who tests positive for Covid, or who is a household contact of a positive case, must isolate at home for seven days.

  • Stay at home if you are sick and get a test if you have any Covid symptoms
  • Students who are unwell will be sent home
  • Wearing a mask in all indoor spaces, and outdoors if you are close to others, is highly recommended
  • Masks are required on school transport
  • Physical distance where possible
  • Maintain good basic hygiene e.g. hand washing
  • Prepare for online learning if your child is unable to attend school e.g. ensure that your child has access to a device and knows how to log onto Schoology
  • All staff are fully vaccinated
  • We will keep classrooms as ventilated as possible
  • If your child is vaccinated, you can email evidence of this to ljohnson@hillcrest-high.school.nz for our vaccine register (This is kept securely on our Student Management System)

Positive Covid cases, and their household contacts, will be asked to stay at home.

  • Students who are isolating will continue their learning online via Schoology
