On Monday 8th of June, 17 students from Hillcrest High attended the annual Chamber Music District Competition.
Hillcrest High School had 4 groups attend the Chamber Music Competition this year. Of the four, two of our groups received awards.
Trio Sostenuto, comprising of Justine Hua and Annie Wang receiving Highly Commended, which is an incredible achievement with the calibre of talent at the competition.
Trio Luminaire comprising of Hannah Parkinson, Yanfei Chen, Raphael Wu received the Adjudicators Award. This is awarded to the group that the Adjudicator was impressed by out of all the talent on the day so this was also a massive achievement.
These groups are now in consideration for the next round!
A massive congratulations to all the students who were involved, they all played beautifully and we are very proud, and a big thank you to Daniel Shin, Mervyn Cook and our amazing Itinerant Music Teachers who helped make this possible.
