Congratulations to our Hillcrest riders who competed in the Battle of the Schools Track Cycling event at the Avantidrome on Sunday.
We had three teams entered, including two novice teams who learned to ride the track through the six-week programme, and one experienced accredited team. We also had Fletcher McCullum represent Hillcrest as part of a composite team.
Our accredited team of Cody Whitford, Matai Reid, and Fletcher Hamilton rode brilliantly to take out first place in their division. Our novice team of Tom Henderson, Heath Henderson, and Lucas Li also claimed a fantastic win, while Daniel Garmonsway and Alexander Underwood finished a very close fourth, narrowly missing out on a podium spot.
