This season has been filled with remarkable achievements as two long-standing Hillcrest High School athletics records were shattered by talented athletes. Last week at the Waikato Bay of Plenty champs, Annie Downing broke Sonia Scown’s 1500m record from 1988, showcasing incredible determination.
Equally impressive, Taylor Murdock surpassed Tonia Spedding’s 200m record from 1986 at the recent Central Zones champs. These dedicated athletes have proven to be exceptional talents in the intermediate girls category.
