On Monday 9 June, our Art History, Sculpture and Design students went to the Auckland Art Gallery to check out the new A Century of Modern Art Exhibition from Toledo Museum in Ohio, USA.
Our students were able to come face-to-face with famous artworks from the late 19th and 20th century including paintings by Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Dali and Cezanne. We also got to hear from the gallery educators about works from their Aotearoa and Pacific collection that we have been studying in class. The mini-vans were abuzz with art related conversations all the way back home to school.
