Congratulations to Yr. 10 Ariel Wu, who has been awarded distinction (above 87 marks out of 100) in Grade 8 Trinity International Digital Examination for piano at the end of last year.
She scored an incredible 99 out of 100, including a perfect 66 out 66 for the 3 pieces of contrasting music, and only 1 mark deducted from her technical work.
Unsurprisingly, Ariel’s score was one of the highest marks in New Zealand and even in the world, especially for Grade 8, is used at Universities as a standard to gain entry into their undergraduate performance courses in New Zealand.
