On Monday 30th March we held our first Academic Excellence Evening.The purpose of this evening was to celebrate the current Hillcrest High students who received their 2025 NZQA certificates endorsed with Excellence.
A special mention went to Daisy Evans, Khadija Tayyab, and Sanidi Fernando who as Year 12s received NCEA Level 3 certificates endorsed with Excellence.
We also had the opportunity to present Ariel Wu’s family with the Janet Guo trophy for Scholarship. This trophy is awarded each year to the student who received the most NZQA Scholarships. Ariel Wu received:

Hayley Sharpe (Dux and Head Student of 2022) was our guest speaker for the evening. We were incredibly lucky to have her come and share some words of advice. Hayley has made us all proud with all she has achieved since leaving Hillcrest. Hayley was gracious enough to allow us to share her speech from the evening.
